My Spiel

Tagalog is my native tongue from a land of coconut trees and woven baskets, the Philippines. There are lots of resources nowadays to learn it. See the section on Recommended Resources for good dictionaries.

A good guideline on orthography and grammar is given in Apendiks V or page 167 of [ATIE] in Tagalog. It tells of how to aesthetically spell words borrowed from Spanish and English.

In the Wish List are also books for sale available online; it is not meant to be an exhaustive list and I will update this once in a while.

My Notes

I wrote a history and grammar description of Tagalog using Esperanto as the metalanguage. If you can read Esperanto, then this essay is useful for you. It is called Lingvoj en Filipinoj (Languages in the Philippines).
